I loved gold!

Wednesday, May 23, 2007

What's not to love about gold? Everybody loves them - old, young, men, women - all adore and some even worship gold. Well, you can't blame them - with the gold price climbing now, there's even more reason to love gold.

Well, as an investment instrument, you can be sure that gold will never de-valued. There will always be demand for gold, no matter where you are. It's already been part of the culture - you got married, you need gold; you got new child, you got gold.

So, what else are you waiting for? Go get some gold bars for me :)

I loved my old songs...

I have some soft spots for oldies songs. Some of my friends never understand how i came to like the oldies when I’m not that old yet, and certainly didn’t come from the 60s or 70s era. I never know - i guessed it’s something to do with my upbringing. My father listens to oldies a lot - although he didn’t bought and listen much, but he kept belting out some of the best oldies that you’ve ever heard during that time. Both in English, and Malay. Perhaps, P. Ramlee movies help a lot too - i guessed i knew a whole lot of the songs from P. Ramlee movies compared to some of my peers.

I kept a whole lot of 60s to 80s songs in my collections, and have some in re-mixed versions. Although I shrieked sometimes listening to those re-mixed versions (especially those I’ve heard it in original versions first), but i sometimes sing along to some of those snappier versions. I don’t know why, but somehow the songs brings back old memories and with new tunes, they made a good relaxation songs.

Although there’s some songs which I really liked previously, but gives me a creep now (due to the lyrics), I’ll reserved my comments for another posts. Let’s just say when i really read into the lyrics (and interpret the “real” meaning), the songs makes me shivers

Can still go?

Monday, May 21, 2007

Now i don't know what are my odds of changing whatever I'm doing now. With shits going around like this, i don't know whether it's safe or it's worth changing anymore. I don't even know now what's happening.

I heard more stuffs - backstabbing, backtalking - this time, coming from someone outside. That's worst - it's bad enough to hear bad things from inside, but if those things leaks to outside, it means only one thing - trouble!

Wait and see what else will happen and what else I'll hear. I'd really loved to know. With the survey just went passed, I really hope to see interesting stuffs!

Continue my studies?

Tuesday, May 01, 2007

I have given a lot of thoughts on furthering my studies. I have even thought of quitting my job and just pursuing my studies. But then again, who's going to bear my cost of living when i'm out of job and studying?

I asked around for distance learning degree program, where I could get a Master degree, and still get to keep my job. Kinda part time studies thing. Which is fine with me, since i have no other income and needed this job to feed me.

Unless, of course, if there's anybody willing enough to be sponsoring me throughout my study period :) But I guessed that's not going to happen anything soon, so I'll have to figure the best way to still earn money, and earn my Master degree :)

Wesak day

Today is Wesak Day. If you don't know what is Wesak Day, it's the day where Buddhists all over the world gather and pay homage to the Lord Buddha. Wesak Day is significant to the Buddhists as it is the birth day, enlightenment day and also the day that he left the world.

What we do? Normally we'll start off by cleaning the altar at home, or if you prefer to go to temple, clean Buddha images. Offerings of fruits are normally offered too during Wesak Day. In some places, the Buddhists pledged to be vegetarian for the day to avoid "killing" to get meat to eat.

As for us, we clean up the altar at our house, bought some fruits and make offerings at the altar itself. Later tonight will go for prayers at the temple. Is it a good day to do paid posts today? :) April has just ended, and i have new target for May :)
